A South Pacific Smile (part 2)
Jerry is the most ruthless salesman I know.
He sold defective refrigerators to the eskimos
and when their igloos melted he laughed and
blamed it on global warming. Jerry wanted to
be a CEO for years yet all his sales talents
couldn't get him that goal. Then 6 months ago
he got an email from the South Seas Pineapple
Corporation (Nasdaq SSPC). A flurry of emails
and phone calls between Jerry and the South Seas
in-house Corporate Headhunter soon had Jerry at
the top of the prospect list for what must be
a tough CEO position. According to SEC filings
South Seas went through 3 CEOs in the past year.
I guess no news is good news as I haven't heard
from Jerry in a couple of months now, since he
flew out of LAX on a first class South Seas
paid ticket, for a dinner meeting at the
remote island company head office with the
Board of Directors and Corporate Headhunter.
